will stop playing for a month

Can't you play in EDH? That's what we have been doing for the last 6 years after all. That is still mostly untouched by EDO...

OK. I nailed Horizon issues. Now we have Odyssey issues and I'm working them starting with upgrading all my suits and weapons. So far it is moving along nicely. Maybe look at the game versus the current bugs then move on. Just an idea that works for me.

Yeah, I have been playing less myself due to the PP weapons bug, and the reset your mats if you take them as mission rewards bug. The things I regularly do in game sort of depend on being able to reload and accept mat rewards. I figure they will get those figured out soon enough.

I would love to play in EDH, but there are some spill over effects reported since EDO launched - like your engineering materials and data being reset to the allocated amount given by a selected mission reward.

Fdev will get EDO working better, just like Horizons. It will just take time; until then I'm going to catch up on some other games  So no one is borrowing my stuff!
I was sarcastically trying to say that a month is optimistic with regards to the amount of things they have to do to make it better :)

While that's not a bad suggestion on the face of it, the ongoing debacle with the very UNFINISHED Odyssey still sticks it's ugly beak into Horizons play.
Yesterday I finally got the Pacifier scattergun and had 3 hours of play planned, after getting the rest of my day done. I go to play and along comes the first of many update/patches at 5Gb. I have 4Mb ADSL, so that was my playtime gone. You can't play until the update is done and it took more than 3 hours.
I realise it isn't Frontier's fault that I live rural and have a slow connection but it IS Frontier's fault that they are wasting my time and a lot of other people's time by releasing a game that is glaringly NOT READY for release.
Then I got to thinking about the hours I've spent grinding to do things - like loading cargo onto my ship for the 4 week Powerplay pretence, to get a slightly different weapon.
And it occurred to me how Frontier do not respect or value players' time in the slightest. In fact, it seems they have confused gameplay with wasting our time and find it a whole lot easier to do the latter. Now they have introduced a whole new range of stuff that will all require upgrades and grinding grinding grinding, timewasting timewasting timewasting.

I'm taking a month (or 3 or 6) off too.
I won't miss hearing that my prospector limpet has failed or that my permission has been authorised.

I am doing the same.

I am very jealous of my time here on this planet. I am almost 56!
:)

When I tried Odyssey, I took a mission which told me to get a taxi to such and such a place.

Well, after booking a taxi at Apex Interstellar, the elevator door to the shuttle hangar simply would not open.
I tried four times.

Politely beseeched and cajoled Apex Interstellar agent.

No avail.

Refunded the Odyssey deluxe alpha edition.
Spent refund on Borderlands 3 deluxe edition on sale for 36 usd on steam and the remainder on diet canned cat food.
