We took a mision to disable megaship turrets in BRIB (The Gordon something or other). When we got there, the megaship was severly damaged and had Thargoid slime on it, so we couldn't do the mission - no turrets left. We weren't sure what we could do, so we blew up the generators, but it didn't change anything, except afterwards we got a Thargoid alert.
The first time 4 thargons came, so I went back and got my Krait with AX cannons, and we did the same. Again the thargons came, so I blew them up.
There's a data link on the ship that gives a message asking the question how did one of the inmates smuggle one of those on board - without saying what it was. There's a cargo hatch, but we couldn't break it, nor blow it up. While we were trying to figure it out, a Thargoid came, so we ran away, though it got my wing mate and blew him up. We went back and tried again, but as soon as we blew up the generators, the Thargoid came back, so we had to run away again. My Krait is not engineered, so can't deal with a Thargoid.
I didn't know that Thargoids were in this area, as I hadn't heard anything. It's very close to ALD HQ.
Has anybody heard of this before? Is it still possible to complete the mission? Is it possible to release whatever has been smuggled on board?
