Black screen in Odyssey

When I launch into Odyssey and try to enter a station on foot or try to enter super cruise my game gets stuck and within a minute and then it black screens. The audio is still on as if I am idling and when I am on foot, it has me walking the entire time. I have reinstalled the game, updated graphics card, changed to windowed mode, changed resolution,etc... Don't know what to do at this pint since this just started after the patch last night.

Clear your graphics config folder

Black screen in Horizons and Base game too...

DIrectX system error. The game was working 10 hours ago before this update...

I cleared the Graphic folder and then there is an error "DirectX cannot lock buffer...". I was reading some forums and it seems that this was a bug from 2016.

I've been playing the training missions and the game is running fine. But when I use fullscreen and then ALT + TAB the game just glitch with a flickering screen. I switched to borderless and it works without problems.

There must be a problem with the stations that cause that "DirectX cannot lock a buffer" crash because I'm docked at Jameson Memorial running Horizons and the game just crash. Launching the game without any DLC is not working either.

I reinstalled DirectX, verified the game files with the Elite Dangerous launcher and Steam.

where the change made may need further optimization within itself
this may cause some cards to go into a tdr type fault
a workaround (whilst fd a working on the next patch that further optimises probably)
is to use a clocking tool like afterburner(has a slider) and downclock the core clock from 50mhz to 100mhz of of the factory default clock speed
this may enable you to play whilst clocked down as it should make you less likely to tdr
(assuming gpu and heatsinks are spotless)

2 black screens for me today, one when disembarking ship on planet, and one (after relogging) when logging off. Black screen, no sound, not frozen, but Task Mge shows very high power draw with high mem and CPU usage although flat-plareau'd.
