My prepped reply for David (and other Top Brass) as I figured this post would be by him, but I hope that you can communicate the message onwards, Arf
Thanks for the news update and roadmap
FWIW, Frontier as a company have clearly been spreading their developer resources too thin for many years now. This has resulted in none of the produced games getting the full resources they needed for greatness (9/10 or 10/10 review scores), with Elite suffering the most.
Elite Dangerous is supposed to be a Game-As-A-Service with a large, dedicated, stable devteam efficiently producing update/DLC after update/DLC, yet instead it's managed like a Build-It-And-Ship-It game fighting for vital developer resources with your other in-production games.
Odyssey review scores and Frontier's share price have shown that the existing company policy is no longer tenable. The demand for more, better quality Elite content is clearly there with substantial game/expansion/ARX sales, record player numbers, and social-media activity. Maybe it's time for David to exert his authority, bring the Board Of Directors in-line, give Elite the developer resources it needs and deserves, and get Frontier making the top-quality content we know it can - company revenues and share price will follow suit.
Or put another way, if one is already struggling to keep the existing plates spinning, with some falling and smashing, then it's time to stop adding more plates.
