Auto Lander your friend... or mine

Interesting that they introduced this "auto-land in the wild" feature in Odyssey, It annoyed me at first, and I turned it off eventually - but on a few occasions in difficult terrain it did find a landing spot for me. It's more like a training helper I guess.

I love it because I always get the landing surface that looks smooth, but then it takes a hundred adjustments because somehow it's just NOT SMOOTH ENOUGH for a landing despite it looking exactly the same as the other patch of dirt a few feet away, so I let the auto lander have it while it adjusts itself two dozen times in half a second.

It both amazes me and annoys me. In some spots it is genius, in another yeah it sat me down perfect but with no way out from under the ship. Meh, call me old school and never minded grabbing my seat with my buttski while trying to land manually. THAT is immersive, Robbie the Robot not so much.

Well.. we're getting along reasonably well now. I get near enough - then she takes over!!.... UNTIL she deals me a 'Rooster' then she's outta here.
