A roadmap is such a great public relations tool I don't understand why they don't use it. It sets expectations so people are satisfied that the game is going somewhere so they invest long-term. It creates a controlled hype: people are excited about what is to come but they don't let their imagination run wild creating impossible dreams that inevitably disappoint. The surprise tactics of Fdev seem to backfire every time yet they don't change their strategy. At least they're trying something different now, maybe they'll get better at it over time. Or maybe they'll throw their hands up in despair at the negative response and give up on the whole idea.
