Odyssey only stations listed in Horizon Commodity Market...

I've been caught out a few times now where stations are listed in the Commodity Market screen that, when you arrive in the correct system, are not actually there.

It's been a long time since I played Elite so I must be missing a way to remove them from the list or some way to tell if they are there or not. They also appear in the Galaxy Map and System Map so I can't use that to check either.

I can't play Odyssey because I enjoy VR too much so that's not an option either :(

Any help gratefully received :)

I noticed that myself. I play ED Horizons but not Odyssey. And now find my commodity market listings mostly include places that don't exist. So that renders the list useless if I can't filter them out. Until they fix that, I can only use the Elite Dangerous Data Base (or some other external site) because it does allow you to filter out Odyssey market places. THAT makes the EDDB essential (not just a nice 3rd party support site).

I figure, one day the devs will notice the mistake and fix it. That is, if they consider it a mistake.

I will try Odyssey one day. But, for now, I feel a bit overwhelmed by Horizons without adding another complexity. This game has changed a lot since I played it on my Commodore 64.

Thank you, Jim, for bringing this to light. I'm curious about it too. Thank you, too, for reminding me, I need to check this out in VR! I've heard it's awesome.

VR is awesome :) Definitely give it a go. I've just got the new VIVE PRO 2 headset and it really is amazing - although I am pushing my system a little bit with the higher resolutions which means Odyssey is a no go for VR now.

I suspect they won't bother filtering them out because they are going to merge Horizons into Odyssey then the new stations, I assume, will be available.

The only work around that I can think of without using EDDB is to actually go into the System Map from the Galaxy Map and then scroll through the list of stations and surface ports to see if it's there. If it is then you should be ok, if it isn't then it's definitely not there! Bit of a faff but at least it should save me from a wasted trip.

Oh, this is wonderful! I was so confused about this too. I play on PS4 and have been trying to figure out better ways of finding markets to sell at than using Inara. So I've been trying out the commodity map for the first time recently. I used Inara to sell stuff at a good price, but I checked that map and saw that there were only places to sell at who's prices hadn't gone down. However I couldn't find them anywhere in the system. They were references in the map and on the commodity market screen, but not actual location to be found. I could deduce where they should be, but they weren't.

Many of these places are in atmosphere, and Horizon players still won't be able to enter atmosphere even after the merge.
