Steam VR and Oculus air-link makes this game sparkle, using a joystick, a mouse and a keyboard. I've got an Asus PC (i7-4790S) with an RX580.
In non VR I have a QHD monitor running at 3400x1440 @60fps (high settings) and use Afterburner to lower the power 20% to run just under 70 degrees C.
The planets are bright - maybe too bright, so I need to fix that. Odyssey runs good and the SRV does better in turret mode for dealing with NPCs.
The cockpit view is sublime, stand up and turn around - totally worth it!

Increase your bandwidth in the oculus diagnostics tool so you get no artefacts. 100% worth it! You have to tune the bandwidth a bit because you are on airlink. On link I use 500mb and have no compression artefacts at all
