Here is the deal many if not most people are failing to realize. When it comes to youtube, twitch, etc you have "content creators", or some call "influencers". These people share their gameplay, knowledge, and OPINION on things. Those who follow them are usually ones who regularly watch their stuff which by human nature tends to sway the viewers OPINION to match that of the Youtuber or streamer. You will have die hard fans and those who pop in now and then to get a look at what people are saying.
That said, at the end of the day, most (not all, but most) of those who follow person X on their YT or Twitch do so because they already agree with the person who is presenting what is being viewed, and will pursue others who also agree with a particular sentiment which leads to comfirmation bias. These "content creators" are in the business of making money, as such, many will do and say whatever gets the clicks (there are examples all across gaming, science, all the way down to knock down fights about the Titanic sinking). Everyone is entitled to their opinion but too many people put far too much blind faith in anothers opinion, especially when the other person is making money from sharing it.
Streamers will and always have come and go, as with YouTube voices and personalities. Personally, i used to enjoy listening to peoples thoughts on games however the level of toxicity and a shift in how things are shared have put me off from all of them. I used to love OA until he started pushing his opinion and rants instead of just the posted and known information available (good on him, he can do that all he wants but not for me). Yamiks is just Yamiks for the sake of clicks.. The pilot was a wonderful source for figuring out whether a ship was worth it and getting into some of the grimy details of things through interviews. Of all of these channels, combine them and you still have a sliver of the player base as a whole who follow, watch or participate in anything they do. People cite polls all the time "85% of players think this", no 85% of that persons viewers thi k that, and of those 85% we will never know if people who participate even affiliate with what the poll is about.
At the end of the day though, they are mostly giving their opinions. In all we are all free to entertain ourselves as we see fit, watch what we want and play the games we want. The same people complaining about FDev and other companies turning a profit are feeding cash to people on social media platforms for their voice instead of a product. They dont think X should be making a profit off of Z but Y can because someone agrees with them.
