Falls to knees next to you... it starts raining..indoors hands bloody from the death of the dream. both slowly look up and yell until out of breath at a vengeful hateful god that does not smite us ...but rather leaves us to live with the memory of the dream. Lightning strikes nearby, letting us know that yes, there is a god, and he's definitely aware of what he's doing and this is his/her decision.

puppies and kittens are killed in view but none of it phases us anymore... that which would be called the flame of good and hopeful in mankind no longer burns in us. Doomed to move on thru life without color, taste, sensation ...for all pales in comparison to the dream that we once touched and lost.

I'm not sure that counted as gravitationally challenged - it was more along the lines of centrally advantaged. Still a bit rude I agree, but as someone who feels like their bottom has been replaced with a binary pair of moons, we have to be careful in our modern society....

I remember that era. But I was an introvert, so nothing changed for me.
I've been training for that pandemy thing for a long time. Just didn't know it then.
