Well they're fairly easily distinguishable, they just don't mean what you'd like them to.
I look forward to when the forum makes a collection of open letter threads, as you're going to be the king of it Vin!

So... for 6 years we have the hexagon icon representing the engineers, and now it's like "Eh, just stack three hexagons and that'll be outfitting".
"Why three hexagons?"
"Why not?!"
"Couldn't it be a wrench, or something?"
"No no... wrench is where you stock limpets!"

Bggrd if I know Vinnie, didn't say they were a good choice, merely that they were distinguishable.
My comment was purely in reference to the babies. The UI sucks on many levels...

You know, every time you click on the wrong icon a kitten dies. Maybe that'll help you start clicking on the right icon.
They're modules. The spanner is repairs.

Here's the thing though - I get it from an explorer's perspective.
Explorers deal with these menu options one time, then fly out into the black to bang their head against the beige wall for months on end.
Us bubble people, we're simple folk. We like to mod stuff and change loadouts, and we like to restock a limpet and fix our ship integrity every once in a while.
And the icons on the bottom right are exceptionally indistinct from each other.

Oh cool, I thought you were including me in the "us" of the Bubble. I was worried 4 years in Colonia counted for nowt!I know, that's why I wrote it
I get to play with the new UI on fleet carriers so that sort-of lessened the shock a bit.
Should I send you some office glue?
It should give you some closure to your never ending open letters issue.
