Do I have to rub her?....

admit it...you would do it even without a potential reward wouldnt you? :)

Will there be a SQ42 reveal at E3?

On second thoughts you can't reveal something that's sort of revealed yet.. not revealed.

How about Sandi's "proof of life" video, will that be shown at E3?
If history has taught us anything, E3 will be Tyler and the gang running from spot to spot to avoid security, while tweeting random pictures, all culminating in a gathering around a truck across from the parking lot where the event is being held.

E3, Gamecom, PAX - pretty much any big gaming event that they haven't had an official presence at since... 2017? Yeah, they've run these guerilla marketing events.

😲 That is both hilarious and pathetic at the same time. Literally making themselves the laughing stock of the gaming industry. I'd be embarrassed to be associated with a company like that.

... tell me you're joking.

Yup. Cross check the lists of official attendees of those events with CIG's marketing. They even use official event logos in their marketing to make it look like they are official participants.

But apparently the most successfully crowdfunded game company ever is too cheap to shell out for an official booth.

I'm sure this is in like with their promise that 100% of funds will go to the development of the game. I guess some backers might even say its the right thing to do because these conference organizers are bad or something.

Its just another example of how CIG are shady as hell.

It could also be because they'd like, have to actually show something to an audience outside of their bubble of backers, and that would get them laughed at and/or slammed from major media sources.

I want that AMD letter!

The last few industry shows they attended definitely became pure 'lol SCAM' in the stream comments. Think it was becoming pretty counter-productive for them generally.

Why expose their failures to the whole industry when they can just make their own 'con, charge the faithful to attend, and preach to a private bubble of believers inside a carefully constructed reality distortion field.

The last meaningfull expo they had was back in 2016 when they stagger-showcased their new and improved 3.0 build. I was actually there and swung by at the time. Nothing to see tho as the 3 rows of desktops were faced AWAY from the audience, long line to grab one of those 12(?) seats but it was the E3.....you had long lines everwhere.

I guess presenting your game in an official capacity brings out the media which feels compelled to write a piece about you and as so many cultists already mentioned, theres always only love letters or hit pieces. Just run around like tourists making it a paper chase its cheap, avoids the haters and hit piece bloggers and embraces the "mysterious". Also never forget that CiG claimed to NOT SPEND ANY BACKER PLEDGES ON MARKETING so there.

Despite all the people saying otherwise I feel like Star Citizen didnt really progress all that much since that 2016 expo to be honest. Yes, theres new stuff but nothing that a non-conditioned would recognize as such. You were able to fly and run around in 2016, you do the exact same 5 years later...only now theres so much more bugs and crashes so best to remember the good old days.

Yes, very much so. Its not good to expose backers and potential backers to anything that might startle them or cause them to start looking into the history of the project too closely.
