That sounds like what a few of us have been doing since Alpha - unfortunately aiming is practically impossible and you can’t interact with pretty much anything. The camera suite free-cam controls don’t work in VR (vote for the bug report!) and one of the recent Updates now makes our CMDR’s body disappear when clipping into it, so fake-first person bodies has gone. I’ll have a see if what that Steam user is doing is the same thing, next time I play.I don't see why it's so hard to support VR, it's just a matter of rendering the same scene from 2 points. The HUD is the only mildly tricky thing perhaps. This guy posted a way to get it to work btw... https://steamcommunity.com/app/359320/discussions/0/4164121860559128897/

Let's add some colour to make this thread a litte more interesting. It was a headline feature once.

So, take it to a news site.. maybe the BBC Tech/Gaming news. They've reported on Elite Dangerous before. That Rory Caitlin Jones I think it was.By the way, when I submitted my ticket for a refund, the first reply said that they couldn't give me one because I had been playing Odyssey for almost a month (since release).
The more I think about this the more it angers me...
I'm told "don't worry, the alpha is a branch; it's way better than this"
Then when that turns out to be a lie, I'm told "we're working day and night to fix it, we know it's bad. Please hang in there."
Now they finally announce a change in features: VR no longer planned to be supported ever, and I'm told
"No, you can't have a refund because you did what we said you should do. You hung in there and kept your patience. And now you waited too long to get a refund."
Unacceptable.
