Validating files passed without errors.
I restarted my PC, and after that game halted for some time there :
What made me realize, that somehow EDO/EDH forgot to recreate planetary shaders after update, although I restarted game launcher like zillion times.
And NO, I have not updated GFX drivers in the meantime.
It fixed the issue, and gave me another entry in my
"Obvious solutions I should totally think of earlier,
but my memory decided to play "let's make your life more miserable" game again"

Pretty much like all syndicated American TV series then?
Why do 6 tightly plotted unique episodes, when you can cookie cutter 6 series, until interest dies off.
It's a part of "why fix what I can replace" problem with modern society.
Or you get it the other way around. You plan for 5 seasons, at the beginning of the 4th they cancel the 5th so you pack the story arc into the last two episodes of season 4. Then you get a season 5 and have to spin a new totally unrelated story. Welcome to Babylon 5

I know I'm going to regret this... I always end up regretting my "brilliant ideas."
But it suddenly dawned on me that I haven't once run a validate from the launcher since the original Beta 6 or 7 years ago and, what, with all of the opportunities for Verschlimmbesserungen over all of those years with each update, surely it might be a Good Idea to run one, right?
