Unable to disengage frameshift drive at stations

Hello. PLEASE HELP.

Whenever I jump to a station and disengage the jump drive, the game hangs.
I cannot move, however the ships areound me are still moving.
I wait, and eventually I get Orange SIdewinder error.

I have verified my files on steam too and this still doesnt work

I just encounted this too, but I do not have a steam based edlauncher.

Edit. I exited the game and restarted, I can now drop out of supercruise at stations.

Had the same issue for the past 2hrs. Everything else works fine. Can jump from system to system, but as soon as I want to jump out of supercruise the game hangs for a couple of minutes followed by a crash citing an Orange Sidewinder error.

Am trying the suggested 'Verify Files' in the launcher, but that too has been hanging on 'preparing update' for the last 10 minutes.

From your launcher OPTIONS unselect Enable Virtual Cache. Restart the Launcher, perform the verify files. You can then undo the option re-enabling Virtual Cache

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I'd already exited and started verifying files on Steam, which apparently is working for some people. If it doesn't I'll try your tip next and report back on progress.

That is my issue completely.....This latest "fix" broke everything

Verifying files through Steam worked for me. Am now dropping out of supercruise without problems. I guess the code monkeys were more simian than sapien in the deployment of the update.

For those who don't know how to verify in Steam. Right click on ED in your Steam library > Properties > Local Files > Verify
