State of the Game

sometimes...i hope so... but then i question the intentionality of it because it happens so frequently when i'm not active and it saddens me to think we are no better than the dirty peasants drooling all over their keyboards outside of this thread.
He has a point you know... It's one thing to intentionally derail a thread completely and utterly for two weeks and just shy of 10k posts, but we are no better than the un-enlightened masses out "there", if we cannot spend that little extra effort to add a "MEOW" to any picture we post, no matter how irrelevant it seems.

Everyone wants immersion.
FD Here is a space game. Space is huge, so travelling between bodies in a system takes time.
No-one likes immersion

one can imagine a game where you have the distance between bodies take time... and wait ..now this is where it gets crazy complicated.

You do things during that journey that fall within the general idea of gameplay.

This goes on for much of the time spent getting to the next body so that the entire journey is less about "taking time" and basically just the game you are playing.

Now i can understand if that concept is above your ability to comprehend. It's obviously above Fdev's. But i assure you, it's not magic.
