Pirate Outpost

While cruising through some systems near Sol, I picked up a mission for delivery to Still Outpost in Luyten's Star.

Interestingly enough when I got there, its shown as the trading outpost, its listed as unsanctioned outpost and has a nice pirate insignia on it... I took a photo and thought I would share it with you guys n gals.

Everytime I requested to dock in my Type 6 to complete the delivery mission I was denied, I am a cleanskin eh!!! maybe too clean for pirates to deal with

Also there is a federation station in the same system but no market there sadly :/

The image I have uploaded to FD Forums was around 1920 x 1080 if it shows small perhaps they do some scaling when its uploaded or perhaps that is just how its viewed in the forums?

I thought some of the smaller outposts don't have the facilities for large ships, so maybe there isn't a landing pad large enough to take a T6?

Ran into one too. It was in Federation space same as the one in the pics.

Makes you wonder why the Federation allow a pirate base to operate in their space...

Perhaps if you requested docking permission with a "Yarrrr!"?

The reason you can't dock at Unsanctioned Outposts is because they only have 1 backstop. The type 6 and the Asp require 2, the Dropship, type 9, and Anaconda require 3.

This has nothing to do with your reputation. Yet...

Get back in a hauler or cobra and you will be able to dock there again.

oky regarding the backstop, that was my thought that perhaps I needed a cobra as there where cobra's and sidewinders landing and launching from the base etc...

For some reason the pirate outposts don't have a medium sized landing platform. Have tried loads of them.

Wouldn't that debris float away though? Unless they bolted it down? Which sounds a bit pointless imho, uness it's some scare tactic.

Unfortunately, I had a mission to deliver 50 tons of indite there, and it was impossible to complete.
