Have to use Task Manager to kill EDO client each time I quit the game-anyone else?

When EDO was released I started to have to use task manager to kill the EDO client each time I quit the game. I never had this problem in any previous version of ED.

When I exit the game the client screen goes black and never closes now. To get it to close I have to kill the client in the process tab of task manager.

This is getting annoying and each time I do this Event Viewer also logs it as an error (Application Hang) and this is also annoying to me.

I have already validated the games files, it doesn't change anything so please don't suggest it since I have tried it and it doesn't help.

Happens on both Horizons and Odyssey occasionally, maybe 30% of the time. Has been happening for years so not a new thing for me.

It also happens to me sometimes, but what happens to me now is that the jumps between systems, jumping to or leaving the supercruiser take between 10 to 15 seconds horrible, otherwise the squad invitations system does not work well, it is unpleasant not being able to play with friends who only have horizons.

had it once since ED:O dropped however it has done it a few times to me prior to ED:O

i created a bat file which kills ED when it happens containing the following:-
taskkill -im EliteDangerous64.exe -f

Happens to me too. Both Horizons and Odyssey, since last update, are running like ****... Windows 10 here, and a high-end pc.
