Himalayan pack

I just randomly got this idear and thought "lets go, write that down!" so sorry if some of it is messy.

The crux is, architecture from nepal and tibet is beautifull, we dont have a lot of mountain animals and this pack would nicely compliment the basegame asian themes and the basegame himalayan animals like the himalayan brownbear, redpanda and snowleopard.
The Himalaya has a wide range of bioms, quite a lot to try and cover with only 4 (+ 3 basegame) animals, but i tried to pick interesting and diverse animals from all over, that also compliment the basegame raster. That is also the reason, why there is no large carnivore in the pack.

1. The domestic or wild yak
This animal is what gave me the idear for this pack.
It would be a flexible animal, being both a great fit for themed, random filler or pettingzoo exhibits and our third bovine in the game, while still looking distinct and unique from the rest.
It would probably be the "flagship" animal of the pack, as it is quite iconic for both tibetian culture and the Himalaya itself.

The secound animal is the Himalayan thar, a highly sexually dimorphic ungulent with fluffy and imposing males.
They represent the rocky cliffs and high slopes of the Himalaya, being on of the few species to be relativly often seen on the higher altitudes of the Mount Everest and one of the primary prey species of the snowleopard.

In the lower altitudes of the Himalaya we find subtropical forests, inhabited by a mix of animals from the mountains and the lowland of India.
A species very common in this region are gray langurs, in this picture represented by the Nepal gray langur.
These leafeating monkeys are a staple of the subhimalayan ecosystem and would be a great addition to the game, being both an excelent stand alone exhibit and in multispecies exhibits, often paired with orangutans or other herbivores.

Lastly, the bird of the pack is the Himalayan monal, native to the Himalayan forests and shrublands, as well as the state bird of Nepal.
It would join the peacock as a pheasant and smaller ground bird and could fill similar roles, but with a more colourfull and maybe mountainous touch.
Also more pheasants are a very welcome addition in my book, as they are often found with many diffrent species in the aviary sections of zoos.

For the exhibit animal i want to represent the Valley of Flowers, an Indian national park filled with large meadows of alpine flowers.
Not only would i hope for them to be part of the new foliage of the pack, but also i would like to see the devs trying to tackle butterflies, as this park is home to multiple common butterfly species like the common yellow swallowtail. This could also serve as a headline animal, to cash in people that want butterflies (i would bet most people) like they did with for example the polarbear and the red kangaroo in previous packs.

But what do you guys think?
Is this a pack that you would be interested in?
And what would you change to make it even better?

Would be absolutely awesome. The Yak would be so great. I think a mixed Enclosure with them and Llamas would be really nice but it would also be great to be kept together with the Himalayan Thar.

Also more Primates are always absolutely awesome and this Bird is definitely needed.

I would love it so much if they could implement Butterflys somehow

Given the fact that DLCs won't go on forever I think this is probably too specific. Maybe a mountain DLC or a broader temperate/cold Asia pack is more likely.
yeah that might be true, but tbh the NA and EU dlc discussion just got kind of boring and when i got the idear i did my research how to do a nice supplement to what we allready have, in my case themed around how to implement the yak in the best way possible.

Right now all people are talking about are NA, EU and basicly mixed bag animal packs because of the assumption of the short lifespan. For a game that supports creativity so much, the dreams of this forum dont fly very high it seems.

Also tbh id much rather have some more smaller focused packs then just big grabbag dlc to get every animal the community wants. Thats the way to cut the lifespan shorter then it could be and adding less animals and pieces in the long run. Frontier is also a company. As long as the dlc sell good more dlc will be quite likely

From my point of view it is better to be realistic and end up surprised than have hopes that will only lead to disappointment.

But it's great to be imaginative. In that case I would have all kinds of suggestions like Iberian, Alpine, Japanese, New Zealand, Central Asia, Nordic, Pampas, Andes, could go on for ages...

Then live out thouse thoughts, even if they wont actually make it in the game it will be a fun time and other people will probably like atleast some of them too :)
I for my part love reading imaginative pack idears where i would go "oh wow, i would have never thought of this but i want it in the game", after all its fun to just dream a bit.
And if anything, maybe Frontier actually takes note of them, not saying that what ever you, me or someone else dreams up will nessecarly be translated into an actual pack, but when they see that there would be intrest and demand, maybe they would give such packs a shot.
And if not, it was still fun dreaming them up ;)
Dream in the sky with your feet on the ground and the only limits are your fantasy and who knows? Maybe something good would come from it.
I would definitely have reading and discussing them with you atleast

Like the idea, and most of the animal choices. I'd probably switch out the yak for something else, such as the Pallas cat, and the exhibit animal would be switched for the mountain horned lizard. I don't think butterflies will, or should, make it in as exhibit animals.

I find myself making lists of DLC's I like on a Google Doc quite often, with all sorts of random ideas. In my case the thing that hinders me the most is the awkward position of aviary birds. I always feel like I shouldn't go too far with ideas until I know how birds will be handled. Will birds be just one pack? All the packs after the initial one? Will they be mixed in with other packs, and if so, will that up the animal count, or leave it the same?
