State of the Game

Phew... I've arrived at last!! *rubs bump on head

@tomimt and @Fishy : You both are to sit on the naughty step and not touch the radio dial again... There was far too much off-topic material in those last few pages!!

@Susanna and @ULITE : You both should be ashamed of yourselves for getting involved with the other two... You're both grounded and I won't allow you to go out and play again for a week. Now sit down and think about what you've done!

And now for something completely different:

Professionals don't really buy their games, they usually get review copies. Consumers buy games, at times in good trust. Think of Cyberpunk and its glowing reviews and what happened when the players finally got the game. They did, after all, buy the game in good trust because of the studio involved and the reviews. The same can be said of Odyssey with FD telling us, that they had a development version where all was working fine but in the end, the truth was very different. With this FD has shown they are not a company to be trusted.

To say anything else is to shift the blame to the consumer. It's not the developer's fault, it's yours for buying it.

Anyone "patient enough" could have waited 24-48h (THE HORROR! THE HORROR!) and known what Cyberpunk was like. As for the "secret build" theory, well if people still fall for that one in 2021, well, more popcorn for me.

There's blame on both ends. Fool me once, fool me twice, that kind of thing.

Except that with gamers, it's more like "fool me for the 9874232314th time and I'll write an Open Letter".

(Well, he is not really my type, even gender is not really fitting, but...
mouth are mouth, I can work this around by closing my eyes and using imagination.)

So, you know, this is something really serious you just said.
Before I decide to reciprocate this emotions, I have to be sure you are for real.
There is a way to abuse prove such love confessions.

So, I think it's enough talk, time for some action...
You mistake love for something else.

Haha yep, goes for horses too. Pretty much all prey animals I guess. Our ponies had a massive fright when I had the audacity to close the door on the ute when out feeding our two autonomous lawn mowers. The result was this:

Front darker pony ran first. He is scared of butterflies and his own snorting at times. The brown girl on the right is more level-headed, but ran because he did, leaving a thick stream of question marks in her wake.

:D S
Back in 1901 (might have been '02) I spent a year as a pony. What I could never get to the bottom of is, where that wet airy noise, that I heard from time to time (directly behind me too!), came from. I'd turn round really quick, but there was never anyone there. Most purplexing. I still get nightmares.
