Can you tell us if Smear Campaigns are in game yet? Anyone find one with the update?

Useful in stations? I agree with that CM that having ship interiors would get dull after a while, but certainly not the entertaining walk back and forth between your landing pad and the elevators, right?
I'm not sure what you're asking, sorry. It's useful in stations because you run out of sprint before you hit the lifts if you've got a medium or large ship. Not so when you've got the sprint mod. That's all I meant by that.

High G worlds reduce the impact of jump assist too. Not so sprint. Just my reasons for not using jump assist. It's fine that others disagree and I maintain this is good design, not limited design.

I was being sarcastic, sorry. And yeah, if I try to run from my Cutter to the elevators I run out of sprint nearly 3 times before I get there. That's the main reason I've been using a Dolphin or an Asp for OD content (next to the fact that some settlements only have Small landing pads). :D

IJA on low-g planets is the most entertaining mod as far as I'm concerned, there's simply no contest. There's nothing like hopping from crane to crane, flying from one end of a settlement to another at sprint speed, or cancelling scans by rocketing away like Buzz Lightyear.

That said, yeah, in high-g conditions (even just 1g), it's sad panda time.

Sorry, I may need to insert an improved sarcasm detecor mod in today... It's been a long one with work.

The problem is by the time you're ready to fully engineer your maverick suit you don't need it anymore. And there's no point to ever engineering the artemis suit since you just hop out of a vehicle to scan. Other than trying to get backpack capacity on the maverick early into the grind while it's still useful, the dominator is the only suit where engineering would matter, but the available content is too easy to justify the various armor/shield mods, and CZs have built-in wallhacks that make nightvision largely worthless. None of this was thought through very well.

I've left my suits without mods to see what the future holds since they can't be re-engineered and there's currently no point to engineering them.

I disagree that I don't need my maverick any more (but take your point on that from the perspective of someone looting just to build a combat suit). I do agree that the annoying red blips on the radar eliminate any potential "stealth" mode in CZs. I hate that. I think it's OK to have red bips if it works the same way as the CoD series has (since early CoD games actually): if a weapon is fired, you show up temporarily on the radar to enemy forces. Unless you're silenced, in which case you don't.

... start spilling the beans on Smear Campaigns and where to get them, ...

Not much left to talk about.
They aren't in the game at the moment, seems to be the general consensus.
While FD said they are, but extremely rare. Which is basically the same thing as they aren't actually in the game.

🤷‍♂️

I still hope Frontier will change their mind and make mods removable. Sooner or later balance changes or new mods will screw with people's equipment and getting everything back to G5 (with mods you may want to keep) seems like a huge turn off to me.

If you people don’t get back on topic and start spilling the beans on Smear Campaigns and where to get them, I’m gonna start talking about Star Citizen and get this whole thread locked.

Don’t test me. I’ll do it!
Gasp! you wouldn't....

(Starts checking up the various scam...I mean pledge packages on SC to buy with nice interiors)

Wow, that's something I'd really like to try - using a masked RPG solely as a diversion.

It actually works as a diversion.
I killed an unsuspecting scav. His mates converged to the explosion site but could not pinpoint the source ( even tho the smoke trail was still visible :) )
And i used that to change location unseen and unheard.

Also it is worth stating the obvious: it's easier to kill someone (which is on the move) at 100m with the rocket launcher than the sniper :D

Well, i have a G3 mav with Quiet footsteps
And an L-6 with Audio Masking... 😂

Can i go ninja with the rocket launcher? 😂
I have this combo and they never see it coming. The boom isn't very stealthy but that's centered on the guy who just did a pirouette through the air and not me so that's sufficiently ninja as far as I'm concerned.

I'm putting 2 Executioners as my Ship guns. Seems like just couple of hits can take down any ship shield. ;)
They should put crew harnesses on the exterior of our ships with power sockets, then we can strap in a few mates with executioners, aphelions, etc. and go to Hazres or High CZs... You get 2 for the price of one; excellent turrets the way turrets should be AND rockin' multicrew action that is mad fun.

Just... try not to be too vigorous with the maneuvers otherwise you might need to clean puke off your ship later

Good luck hitting anything mobile with those 50 m/s exec balls

Armor piercing values looks low too.
I had one of the red dropships bugging over High CZ after we won. It took me 2 executioners' full loads + half tormentor's load (dominator with extended ammo capacity) to take it down. ...Ah, yes the 11 NPCs on my side constantly shooting at it too.
