Summary
System: PMD2009 48
Station: Archimedes (Megaship, large pads available, 1,625 Ls from main star, 1,299.53 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Guardian caskets, orbs, relics, tablets, totems and urns
Time limit: 1st July 3307 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Aegis Research and Taurus Mining Ventures have requested deliveries of Guardian artefacts to the PMD2009 48 system.
The rival campaigns follow the discovery of an ancient battleground between the Guardians and the Thargoids on Trapezium Sector YU-X c1-2 1a.
Aegis Research has positioned a megaship, the Archimedes, in the PMD2009 48 system. Professor Alba Tesreau announced:
It is vital that Aegis replaces the Guardian artefacts that were lost aboard the Alexandria. Without sufficient materials, our anti-xeno research programme will be severely hampered.
Pilots are asked to deliver Guardian artefacts identified as caskets, orbs, relics, tablets, totems and urns to Aegis Research at the Archimedes in the PMD2009 48 system.
If Tier 1 is reached and Aegis receives more donations than Taurus Mining Ventures, an approximate 5% reduction will be applied to Guardian material requirements at all technology brokers for each additional tier, to a maximum of 25%. This will last for four weeks from the 2nd of July 3307.
The initiative begins on the 24th of June 3307 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
To earn rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Guardian caskets, orbs, relics, tablets, totems and urns to the Archimedes in the PMD2009 48 system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • The Archimedes is orbiting planet 2

Hey, Aegis: Remember what happened last time you loaded a megaship full of Guardian artefacts? No?
Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it....

Yeah. We already collected a load for Aegis. Shouldn't have thrown them away like they did if they value them so much.

reminder : GALNET NEWS
The Aegis-owned megaship triggered an attack by Thargoid vessels when it traveled from the Delphi system to HIP 16538 on the 20th of May. Aegis believes this was caused by the large quantity of Guardian artefacts in its cargo holds.
[...]
However, the megaship never reached its arrival point and all communication with it has ceased. Search teams in local systems have not detected its presence.
Ship is lost, they didn't throw away stuff, even if announced possible solution, they didn't do it.

They already triggered a massive Thargoid response. What did they expect would happen when they moved the thing into Witchspace where the Thargoids are basically at home? They could have as well just dropped it into a star.

Those of you who wanted to believe that supporting Aegis would help you somehow, a new gun or whatever - you have seen the outcome of that. It has been made clear that you were being asked to help them trigger an attack on Earth itself so that they could keep their funding.

Don't make the same mistake twice.

And hey, Salvation is ACTUALLY offering a gun! No need to invent imaginary rewards!

Hmm ... sounds like we're being asked to do the exact same thing again and hoping for a different result.

Something something mumble definition of insanity

Aegis with a temporary discount on something many already have versus Salvation with an exclusive permanent engineered module. RIP Aegis...
You forgot that Federation, Empire and Alliance officially supported Aegis in this CG. Perfect way to annoy all independent pilots.

What's the minimum jump range to get down there?

Or is this a case of find a system with the goal available to sign up? I can't seem to get into the area.

Edit: It's not the signup thing.

Go to the Witch Head Nebula first. From there you can circumvent the permit locked systems.

Witch Head Sector (HIP 23759) is 4 jumps from Jackson's Lighthouse, on the neutron highway, with an explorer build ship.
There is a neutron in WHS to help to travel towards the Orion, but after that you need to do some standard hyperjumps (2-3-4).
Also there is a neutron close to the Orion to help you on your back route.

So the locations are definitely permit locked? Just want to confirm.
I'm new to the game. When I try to plot it it says "Route unavailable".

Search for the Witch Head Science Centre. It's right in the middle.
These if near Sol.

^^^^^^
If not near Sol may have head that way then witchhead I'd recommended 20+ Ly jump range.
