Combat animations kinda need to hit their marks no? Especially for melee stuff. Locations would probably need to be suitable, combat timing tuned etc. It’s not exactly last hour stuff.
Plus, y’know, it was supposed to be in beta last year. And out 4 years before that

The visual work is gorgeous! The bugs are infuriating as hell though

Playing Alien Isolation in VR is one of my most precious gaming experiences. Pure gold. The chapter doing a walk outside the Sevastopol station and aligning the satellite dish a la Bishop in “Aliens” is specially awesome.That’s how deploying a floating base in Crusader would feel

I havent seen it, but it is free on youtube, at least in the US. Im hesitant to watch it considering how much money i have given roberts to make a video game.

I'll give credit where it's due: this movie actually does things that were never done before (or after, for that matter). If it can help, consider that back then, I paid a cinema ticket to watch it...

Yup, said it today elsewhere: One of the best spacewalks in gaming.
But the game was ready in 2016. On the other hand, bed sheets and now the reputation system. And, obviously, the incoming complete rework of all the ships and flight model.
Let's not forget that if that game really exists, the Odin system needs to be ready as well. I wonder if it is undergoing parallel upgrades along Stanton. Odin planetary tech V1, Odin planetary tech V2, ..., Odin planetary tech Vx.

Minor nitpick, the "Armstrong Moment" is setting foot on a body no one has been to before.
The Armstrong moment is unique and was when a foot fell on a body that wasn't Earth. Concerning Odyssey the Armstrong moment is when the player uses the leg experience for the first time. It has nothing to do with grinding first landfalls on planetary bodies.
