It tickles me to no end that someone started screaming "mods mods" just as the vegan came to the thread to mock the carnivores, just after the opposite was happening, in a thread with probably 700 pages of other off-topic nonsense. Endlessly tickled, I am.

Fortunately, the "state of my game" is functional, at the moment, and I've made over 100m in 2 days, finally. Its the first time I've profited heavily since 5/19/2021.

Roman were VERY sensitive about their standards. Like "we will destroy your people, enslave everyone, burn the place to the ground and put salt into the earth" sensitive. I would drop it, just in case.

Just in case there's any doubt, I'll just say it. I do partake in the occasional kale joke but that's mostly because of kale's meme value and I hope my dear @Boomtrooper never saw it any other way. I don't actually mind kale, although I don't rate it either. There are so many objectively (the object being me) better greens around that I find plenty of better options all the time without getting bored. And I certainly hope I have never crossed the crass/childish/offensive line. But I have to side with @Milkman76 and @Raliel in that, well, imho, yes, it has been crossed.

Regarding the meat thing, while not a vegan, I try and reduce as much as I can. I don't have the willpower to undertake the effort to cut it all completely, particulartly with still 3 kids to feed, but fair play to those who do. That's a change we need at a planetary scale, so whoever is making the effort, thus reinforcing the market for the food industry to develop the alternatives and make them as affordable as possible is doing an important job. Technically, meat isn't that big a deal for me, but dairy/eggs I'd really have a hard time cutting off/replacing. And unfortunately, dairy is as bad if not worse from a carbon cost point-of-view, so like it or not, that's likely where I'm heading at some point in the future... Fair f*$%s to the vegans, they're leading the way.

Anyhow. I'll leave it at that on the topic and return to the dumb.

Oddly, the state of my game is fine too - I've stolen around 500 million in cargo today too, now to sell it off as a BGS loss, and still make a huge profit!

Weird, all i get are loading screens and nothing to do but click on fss blibs in my game. there are no aliens trying to attack me or ancient civilizations to find and their tech and goodies to plunder. No cat media to collect. just loading screens and planets with rings that aren't cool enough for me to bother mining in and making such a system my perm remote home until i fill my hold with riches.

The bgs doesn't exist in my game. it's like all of these systems fdev forgot to do anything with. But out here is the Void. and the Void has such wonders to show

ps: framerate still sucks compared to horizons and the lighting has changed my paint job colors so that it looks more pastel-like and not iridescent.

Maybe you should read through a few pages. The mods regularly pop into this thread to ensure people are aware they're still around. There's no conspiracy. Other than Big-Veggie of course...

I have indeed followed this thread since the day it was created. This is why I said "barely any mod activity", and not "none". And people who were just having fun with the other sort of jokes, were suddenly unhappy once the jokes were flipped around and called for mods. That's the story of this thread, like it or not, and it can be reviewed with a few simple clicks of your mouse. Or finger, or whatever clicks in your life.

I'm glad NIN are back on form, I loved them since seeing them supporting GnR at wembley in '91.
Recently Trent has sounded like a soundtrack artist but this is decent.

PS: subnautica is great, thanks for the recommendation. I'm still at an early stage just swimming about after the main ship exploded, its like being on hols in the Mediterranean although I've got a terrible sense of foreboding

I continue to get booted out of the game with the Fdev crash reporter popping up, and occasionally I get the "loading" forever screen. Also the game crashes 100% of the time when I quit. Black screen until I kill the process. Fortunately missions arent vanishing this time, but missions are weird.

I have bneen taking many of those "scan the data point on the megaship" missions, but... something weird happens with them. If I take 3-4 of them and complete them before turning them in, often.... the mission resets itself back to incomplete. Then when I go back to the megaship to scan it again, it says "already scanned" and I lose the mission as it times out. Logging doesnt help.

I'll go back to exploring soon, on that account, just brought the FC to the bubble for a little holiday, and to pick up some Odyssey engineering, before heading back to Colonia - where the engineered guns and suits will be put to good use in between searching for WD classes and other oddities.

the only example here is someone who doesn't get the thread wandering into it. we have a couple of those people in here who think the discussions are actually serious and start taking them as such.

poking fun at veganism isn't the same as gays though. vegans dont have a history of being killed for being vegan. that's why the whole thing is absurd.. because nobody actually cares about whether you are vegan or not.

You're still very wrong in what you think you are right about.
