State of the Game

Scanning for bio spot with the new system :
"Oh, dear scanner, where can I find plants on this planet"
"On the planet."
"Thank you dear scanner, can you be more accurate, it's a big planet and I'm a small human"
"Sure, on the ground. Have fun."
"Thank you mighty scanner for your wisdom".

I'm pretty meh about Star Wars since house of mouse decided that it was 'too risky' for a black guy to have a relationship with a white female lead... If they ever do more Star Wars, they've lost me!

You know - the fans - or rather a couple of youtube content creators - did that. They gave Lucas such a hard time over the prequels, he decided to sell up .. So be careful what you wish for, Odyssey deniers.

Absolutely.
I tried to make my own 3D code, but initial results were... not impressing.
Framerate was... fractional :)
it was still acceptable with just rendering a bunch of colored triangles - but trying to put textures on it -where you had to rotate the texture in 3d with your own code and figure out which pixels go where killed any reasonable frame rate - this was just not possible at that point in time.

Ah back in the old Z80/6502 days...

There are pretty good emulators of most of "prehistoric" computers running on Android.
Even all hardware effects we mentioned are working correctly.
So you can have all of your sentimental history always with you, always available, even complete game/software collection fits there.
i never used it - that was far before I was born - my partner has just a collection of old machines - we even have the Apple Lisa - named after Steve Jobs daughter - one of the first personal computers with a graphical user interface - impressive for it's time, but as well too slow and too expensive - so it never was a big success, but it's interesting to have it.
