and lots of mining later. my frame rate is stable doing that

There comes a time where you get limited results from whacking moles that might not exist if you continue down the line of development. It's a catch 22 for developers. Financial pressures mean that you can't stay idle to untangle a small handful of lines when the fish are going stale in the first nets. So at some point, the major team will have to stop what they are doing and get back to rowing towards the console release...In reality this means "What? We didn't know that we would have so many problems. Everything was fine in testing. We are sooooooooooo surprised...."
tl;dr for the Dev Update:
We fixed the easy stuff
The hard stuff is hard
No new stuff coming
Console release gonna be late
You missed:
It's your fault, player
No - the Cake is a lie. Unless diplomacy is cake, then that's alright then.
It's probably too difficult to speak of Powerplay in meetings, since it's commonly called "PP". Try to pronounce it, you'll see the problem quite quickly.
Yeah,
PP ?Yeah,

Don't ask what I had on my mind, I have no idea.

I know - so many mixed metaphors.
@Just in his natural habitatSome people (I mean myself naturally, but don't want to brag so obviously AGAIN) have natural talent to instinctively make slight body stance changes when attacked, resulting in aggressor hitting one of their protruding but damage resistant bone tips, resulting in attacker hurting himself when he was hoping to achieve the opposite.
If you are one of them, you won't be annoyed by such intents, you will be amused a moment after you did it again before even realizing what's going on until someone groans in pain.
Sorry!I'm pretty sure I know how development works.
I don't have any problems with the developers or anyone else.
My main gripe was and is: They now fixed a RELEASED software for over a month, didn't even fix much of the things people already reported in Alpha and they are still nowhere near something that I (read personal opinion) would call sellable or working as intended even roughly.
What if it's cheesecake? No - the Cake is a lie. Unless diplomacy is cake, then that's alright then.
Yeah, they screwed the pooch with this release, which puts them in the unenviable position of trying to fix some seriously broken stuff without trashing their timelines for ED and other products.I'm pretty sure I know how development works.

Excuse: Busy Waxing off on my desk.
Welcome stranger. You must be new hereabouts. Yarp.my Dev post thread was deleted. Luckily they can't find me here with my tin foil hat protecting me.
No, stay with us, we're all the therapy you need.At this point, I'm actually going to step back from the forums for a couple of hours lest my disappointment at the 'Dev Update' bleeds into this thread.
I was thinking of putting on my white dressing gown before doing it - but then thought the wax stains may show up on it.I really wanted to ask Arthur for a tldr version, but it would have only worked if I could have got post 2. I am disappointed, and may make a thread out of this important issue.
And now for something much more lewd....
Well if Mr Miyagi is to be believed, it is all in the wrist. Just remember to put wax on, before you wax off all over the desk...
(Oz' post edited to show that he is a filthy minded young man...)

There will be some very stressed project managers running around FDev trying to square that circle right now, and something is definitely gonna slip or get dropped.
At least the dev update admits that they've got major problems, which is a step forward for FDev.
