I've seen this picture posted before in the planet tech thread, yes. And in the trailer you can see heightmap artifacts...Someone posted this elsewhere and I had a good laugh. Terrain repetition was there already in the concept art.
The steam trailer ? I watched it, all the shots they take are at low light, so you don't see much. Except for the part where they fight, and you can't see much because it doesn't stay on screen.
Someone extracted some stills out of it. Sure, I don't know if these were legit, I can see the results ingame every day, that's enough for me.
