And as a side note, my insomnia made me look here using my phone, and I am disappointed to see this thread half way down the page. The night shift need to get their shizzle together!

My you have been a busy bunch of nutters. It's taken me a couple of hours to catch up. I don't understand why they dropped the dev stream. It would've only taken them a couple of minutes.

it doesn't support pyodbc and pypyodbc doesn't support fast execute or decode/encode codecs to give mssql server proper argument hints (which without can cause it to pick bad plans).
I'm tempted to write an open letter but at the same time don't care enough to implement the missing features myself so instead I'll just keep using regular cpython for this

Yep, best well avoided. Had someone having a chip at a moderator - don't think that ended well. A lot of posts seem to have gone missing.
