Great work, love the lighting fixes and Shield strength thingymejig.
Only a few extra snakes in the Annie this morning but the main thing i have noticed is that the delay in throttle engage has now gone after jumping.
Very welcome with 105 jumps left to Col from Black In Green.

Initial impressions (mauve adders notwithstanding). The controller issue in FSS/System Map has been ignored yet again. The System Map UI is still overly cumbersome. The Galaxy Map UI is still overly cumbersome. I have real issues identifying any improvement in System Map and Galaxy Map between release and Update 5. What was the point of asking for feedback on both if the plan was to mostly ignore it all? Lipstick on a pig.

And that's the end of the road(map).

But at least the redundant light from the Inter Astra advert was removed, because I know that was the game-breaking fix I was waiting for :rolleyes:
 
What distance lengths are you seeing, Commander? Just so I can keep an eye.
Mid-range missions like these seem to show up in the Sol bubble immediately after every regular Thursday server restart, then disappear after a while, so it might be that. So wait a few hours then take credit for fixing it ;)

Personally, back when I was flying around Sol years ago, I liked them - the equivalent "mid-range" missions in Colonia show up all week, which is great! - but it does require the extra distance to be included in the pay which Horizons missions (mostly) do and Odyssey missions (mostly?) don't, and of course an entire board full of mid-range missions isn't necessarily fun.

I posted this elsewhere but I'll just say it again here:

I'll go out on a limb here and just assume its simply the servers being unable to cope with the massive amount of APEX frequent flyers trying to beat the Thursday pre-engineered gear rush hour logging in all at the same time, rather than any inherent error introduced by the patch (hope I don't have to eat my words later :p)
 
Did something with the shotgun get changed? Tried aiming down the sights in a conflict zone but nothing happened only on the shotgun, it worked prior to the patch.
 
You won't Suppercruis faster with 4 People in your ship which can take up to 10 minutes at times.
You won't turn on Settlement power faster with 4 people in your ship.
You won't Download data faster with 4 people in your ship.

Killing a few guards faster will at best save you 3 to 10 minutes pr mission, but than all 4 players will waste an extra hour or so to finish same 4 missions they could have done solo.
Penalizing group gameplay in MMO is a terrible and unthoughful design.

But you can do them anyway if those people are afk...
 
Despite the disconnect issues, other changes that I've managed to notice look great!
I'm sure adders will be gone soon!
