First, I'd like to thank everyone that put in the effort getting this working. I can very much appreciate the passion required to invest this much work into something like this. 
That being said, my experiences with this are identical to every other "minimal effort" port of 2D games: extremely frustrating to use, and nausea inducing during anything but the gentlest of movements. For me, at least, the on-foot VR experience needs to be proper on-foot VR: a room-scale interface complete with motion controllers, and all the tricks developers have long known about which minimize nausea during rapid movements.
