I'll just leave that here. While some studios work on outdated AWS/Twitch integration, real innovation is taking place elsewhere.

R-3700x for a CPU is pretty middle ground, I paid less than 200 quid for mine with about the same for the Asus 570x ROG-Strix mobo. The 2070 super does just fine tooYou don't need a super high end rig to run SC.
1440P Highest Graphics settings, Smooth 60+ FPS
AMD Ryzen 5600X: $300
Gigabyte Aorus Elite B550: $160
AMD RX 6700XT: $480 (MSRP)
WD Blue SN550 NVMe: $60
32GB 3200MT/s DDR4: $160
$1160 Total
-----------
1080P Highest Graphics settings.
AMD Ryzen 3600: $200
GIGABYTE B450M DS3H V2: $70
Nvidia RTX 3060: $330 (MSRP)
WD Blue SN550 NVMe: $60
16GB 3200MT/s DDR4: $90
$750
-----------
I will add the RX 6700XT in the first build is about 25% more powerful than mine and mine runs the game at 1440P highest settings more than fine.
The RTX 3060 is about 15% slower than mine, its just that Nvidia or AMD don't currently make anything that fits in the middle for around <$400. My GPU was $480 8 months ago.

A reminder that your performance outstrips the telemetry page by a fair whack Intrepid, and may not be the average experience.
According to that page the closest GPU / CPU build listed (slightly better GPU build there) on 1440P averages 43fps

Mine falls in roughly the same bracket...I get consistently more than 43fps though, like everything Star Citizen...anywhere near a main port or spawning area I'm lucky to reach 30-40 fps, usually at Lorville or especially New Babbage, the highest I can expect is 20fps. It's not my PC that's lacking either....considering I run Metro Exodus RTX only enhanced edition with full monty RTX and DLSS at 60fps+A reminder that your performance outstrips the telemetry page by a fair whack Intrepid, and may not be the average experience.

It umm.... its lumped a first gen refresh Zen core in with a third gen Zen core, that's all i need to know about that.
I'm sure it's full of issues
But according to their daily updates on that page, there isn't one combination of kit covered that's getting over 60fps.
So either the telemetry page is completely borked, and has been all this time. (Despite going through global shifts with each patch which are suggestive that it's capturing some data of note). Or there are some other parameters at play than the ones they track.
(For my money it's a mix of missing elements. Other hardware factors, such as are old friend SSD, as that's not covered, and likely RAM size, as mentioned previously. And then old hand tricks, such as pagefile monkeying or whatever. The type of stuff you and Mole will definitely have done, picked up on the evocati & concierge grapevine, or just through prolonged play etc. But others may well not have.)

Maybe it doesn't need to be a great computer, but that doesn't stop the faithful backers blaming a person's hardware every time they had bugs or bad performance![]()
This is true, however, one thing about hardware is also true, it is unplayable with a spinny disk, at the very least you need a SATA SSD, $45 for 500GB, to get a really smooth experience an M.2 NVMe drive, $60 for 500GB.
These are not expensive upgrades![]()
Sure, and i think most people these days have for a long time been playing on SSDs, so its especially funny when someone blames the HDD, saying install it on a SSD, when it already is, and then laugh as they flounder around looking for something else to blame it on.... anything, except for the game itself.
The entire stuff at FDevs has this thread set as ignored, so thank you, but no thank you xD
Yeah, SC Zealots.
You wouldn't be implying i'm who ever this person is, would you? I'm not, this is my SC profile, as you can see its not new. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/citizens/Humbug1Yeah!
Fortunately none of those in this thread!
On a completely unrelated note, i wonder how Mr. Novak is doing these days!

My ED account is also some years old.
LOL, no. You're nothing like Mr. Novak.
If you're Mr. Novak then i'm Derek Smart.
Intriguing. Genuinely intriguing. Really. But why is it a sausage fest?I'll just leave that here. While some studios work on outdated AWS/Twitch integration, real innovation is taking place elsewhere.
