that's what they wanted you to think. What kind of gaming company would take the rift's "Thousands of octagonal ships filling a person's view of space" and such mysteries with a beacon and some half effort research mission for ELW's?

that just seems unlikely. no. It seems way too simplistic and stupid and intentionally minimal effort handwavium.

It makes way more sense that the sector blocked in the rift (bovomit) is the staging ground for this mysterious fleet of scary ships responsible for the formadine rift coverup.

And i'll be on the front lines when they make their move!
