I think there is some purpose for both, as long as the irrational approach is nothing more then a "mind game" for you.I always believe ingrained empirical thinking is a good vaccine against irrational thinking...
A kind of "2nd option" for some things, creativity training, MAYBE a small, tiny part of this will turn out to you having seen/experienced things others didn't realize YET someday. Probably not, but reality is not always about probability in my experience.
The 1st choice has to be reality cut to the core by Ockhams Razor.

I sometimes try to bullet jump in other games. Then look like an idiot because I did some weird jump teabagging.
Everytime I get back into Warframe after a break, I feel like it's going to take me ages for it to come back, but no, a mission or two and the glorious flow of sprint, bullet jump, glide, slide comes back. It really is glorious.
Further observations:
Faces Trinity... If my cockpit face could look like my start screen face, I'd be happy and call it a fix. But this not beeing the case... well.
- Quick-Actions (refuel, repair, restock) at stations don't reset to "launch" anymore. Fixed!
- Outfitting-Screen still doesn't show restricted (military) slots. NOT fixed.
- I like the design of the Shipyard-Menu. Fixed! (imho)
- Dark side of the moon still dark. Indifferent. Good for realism, bad for gameplay eaze. But I am more inclined to like the darkness.
