Then I thought about all the times they've spammed my phone late at night, early on Sundays and during dinner...

Reminds me of a true story. So I had family visiting from overseas and we were going to the store. Now, halfway to the car, I realize I forgot my sidearm and turn around to go back to the house to get it. When I come back, they ask me what I forgot and I tell 'em, and they say "you're expecting a shootout at the grocery store?" To which I, obviously, replied: "Nope. If I had, I'd have brought the rifle."
