Shield percentage for EDO but not for Horizons?

I know that EDO is priority now but it this supposed to be like this or something broke? They have abandoned horizons already? That quickly?

It was interesting when I 1st saw shield percentage in Odyssey. I didn’t realize that it was not in Horizons.

The removal of that page in the Role Panel of Oddity is why we asked for the shield % to be shown.

So, until then Horizon is abandoned

I think maybe you are missing the point. As I tried to show above, the shield heath % is shown in the first page of the role panel (crotch panel) in Horizons - in their new fps game they decided it was more important for you to know what suit you were wearing so the ship shield heath % was not shown anywhere (except in the ship section of the Internal UI - and that didn't update in real-time anyway). So we asked for the shield heath to be once again available and their response was to put the figure in the shield rings (as suggested by someone on the forum).

There is nothing stopping you asking them to incorporate this change in Horizons, however be careful what you wish for as every "patch" to Oddity has introduced more issues - do you really want them nedlessly messing with the code for Horizons? :sneaky:

It's currently only available in Odyssey which is still in beta (separate branch, e.g. no community goals, foot stuff doesn't affect bgs). After end of beta and console release I'm sure these changes will appear in Horizons too.

If people think EDO is fun, imagine merging two live service builds where you've been updating one and neglecting the other.
They won't be merged. Horizon will be removed, Odyssey will be the new client. If you don't have the DLC, spaceleg is disabled. I don't know about low atmo planet, perhaps disabled to.
You can disable the DLC almost entirely by disabling the "disembark" button. All that's left is the low atmo planets, and I'm not sure they'll be disabled for non Odyssey player.

Don't you need the Advanced Planetary Approach Suite to approach 'tenuous' atmospheres? If so that's the gate, no APAS for Horizons players.

I'm afraid this is not how software development works... you cant just chuck new features into old builds without lots of laborious and time-consuming work.
