I mean, they've implemented quite a few changes in the UI that are exactly what we asked for and what most people (including myself) complained about. Why don't I see anyone saying that it is nice? I mean, they deserve the praise!
You must be a Yamiks fan. There is a long list of changes and features that people have been asking for. 99.9% of them have not been addressed.
This is a simple case of taking the low hanging fruit, and is not worthy of praise.
An example of them ACTUALLY DOING THIS, would be the Beyond updates. My praise is reserved for when they do the same for Odyssey.
Awesome that you like it.I mean, they've implemented quite a few changes in the UI that are exactly what we asked for and what most people (including myself) complained about. Why don't I see anyone saying that it is nice? I mean, they deserve the praise!

I have 60+FPS everywhere except FPS where I'm about 55+, so decent perf is already there. I agree it still has to improve, though. Some parts of the game slow down a lot and I have some clipping. Now, 3 weeks ago I had 30FPS with my RTX 3080ti! That sucked. So improvement is already there, like it or not. I'm just looking at the glass half-full, while you are sticking to the more convenient view of complaining about the half-empty.Perhaps, just as a thought and pure speculation:
People would love to actually play the game with a decent performance and the track record of announced and then realized things is not that good at them moment?
Not at all. You assume to much. My opinions are my own.You must be a Yamiks fan.
I started Elite on the first day, so I was very, very used to the old one, at first I didn't like the now one because I was not used to it, but I knew out of experience that it would change, and guess what? The new UI is far superior once you've mastered it. But it is hard being honest about it. Deep inside you, you will soon agree even if you don't say it.Because they implemented a terrible UI that no one asked for in the first place.
I‘m not sure fixing something they broke deserves much praise.
But perhaps it’s just my frustration with Odyssey talking…
That's nice for you that you have that framerate. A lot of us don't. And buying a 3080TI for a space sim from 2014 is a bit much, don't you think?I have 60+FPS everywhere except FPS where I'm about 55+, so decent perf is already there. So why not cheer up? Odyssey has a lot of issues but they are adressed, and the game has so much more to offer now. I also have a lot of thinngs I would like to see in the game, like more stuff to explore, but I also understand why it is difficult to do.Not at all. You assume to much. My opinions are my own.
And honestly, I have never liked Yamiks.
You wear glasses, so you could have noticed the "+" in 60+... I use 60+ because 60 is the usual treshold. Also, Elite tends to limit FPS, I guess it is designed this eway because I haven't put any limitations on my side regarding the internal clock. That's nice for you that you have that framerate. And no, for me it got even worse with Update 5. The framerate is less stable now and I have overall less frames in space.
And honestly: 60 FPS with a 3080Ti are a freaking joke. Your card should vaporize this game in the highest settings.
