I have to say i am realy enjoying odyssey

hi all i am putting a positive about EDO and hope to hear about your good times in Edo.
i run a 1080TI 11 gig with 32 gig ddr4 2666 ram and i am using a 1 TB SSD for just my os and Edo.
I don't care about the millisecond fps the game is well playable and i am enjoying doing the restore power missions and robbing the place as well.
let me know your fave part of EDO.
i also play the alpha project as well and yes its graphicly stunning and detail is amazing the depth of emersion is well not realy there.

Conversely, I am seriously contemplating switching back to Horizons. I've been with Odyssey since Beta and still feel that the only players who get any kind of buzz from Odyssey are those that thrive on killing and destruction - Odyssey provides nothing constructive, has added nothing to the trading role and the exo-biology is so negligible as to be barely non-existant - in Beta we had the infamous Exo mini-game - at least that gave us something to frustrate and get angry about. I never wanted a FPS and didn't expect Odyssey to degenerate into one - alas it has, so it represents no progress for me and a singular waste of money. In horizons I've been to Sag A, am double elite so where does someone who doesn't to kill or steal or vandalise go next. Bed or into a Monastery lol.

I also see this very positively. Since the release of Odyssey, I play almost every day and enjoy the new missions, especially reactivating abandoned settlements, but every now and then a combat mission in settlements.

In the meantime, to relax, I fly a few passenger missions and explore unknown systems. Some of them also give good money when analyzing water worlds or earth-like worlds.

What impresses me is the complexity in a shooter, which I don't find elsewhere, not in a Doom, not in a Battlefield nor COD. I can open doors in ED, hack, steal access levels, take settlements off the grid or power them up again, load or upload data, search for people in directories, or sabotage production facilities with certain objects.

The AI runs its routes, investigates critical events, warns, sounds the alarm, calls for support, and seeks cover when its shield is down. They scan the player and speak to him. They have interesting conversations.

One once said, "No one should fight in a war they didn't start themselves."

Yes, there are more fluid shooters and more exciting RPGs, but I find this connected world fascinating.

Hi new here also. I'm really enjoying everything actually. I'm still in the starter zone though. I just want to learn ever and try everything. Mining has been a little tricky. I also ordered a HOTAS. Hopefully that comes this week.
In fact, Hotas increases the immersion. I use this for spaceships as well as planetary vehicles. Now only a submarine is missing. :)
