I can't understand people that buy a game about space travel and insist on not travelling anywhere.

Yeah I wasn't talking about that though, just the technical problem to implement the players suggestion.
 
I still have this problem:

I don't get an invitation for Terra Velasquez. I completed covert theft and covert robbery missions an extra 7 times. And no, I didn't miscount. For this I kept the good old tally sheet.

The prerequisites are also otherwise met. Jude Navarro received the required gene repair kits from me and introduced me to Terra Velasquez. Logging in / out is also unsuccessful.
7x each mission type
 
Salvage missions are now completely broken, most are incompletable.. either you pick up the mission item and it doesn't register or the site doesn't show up as highlighted blue and in fact does not exist at all. Out of 5 salvage missions I could only complete 1. At least before the update I only had to abandon/fail 2 out of 5. Now it's 4 out of 5.
 
Prior to today's update, I had been finding restore missions by looking if a port had "kill scavenger" missions and then travelling to that system and looking at the ports there. Unfortunately today's update seems to have stopped that being a viable way to find them as well.

I figured that systems in a war state should have a habit of knocking some facilities off line & in need of repairs as a consequence of the conflict, rather than only creating a bunch of conflict zone sites.
 
@sallymorganmoore hi, it looks like missions asking to retrieve item from wreckage are still bugged, there is not mission POI generated for them. Please see images below:

After landed on random wreck appeared this​
But there was only scannable point, nothing to loot​
After I abandoned that mission​

As you can see there is quite much weird things happening with this type of mission. That mission point on fourth image appeared after I landed on random crash site (lvl3) and was related to mission because it vanished after I abandoned that mission. Issue report related to this issue is here: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/39930 ... not sure why not confirmed yet, these missions are bugged from Update 5.

I cannot access this report now for some reason, I saw it’s confirmed but when click on link it shows “This issue could be not loaded “

Well, that's definitely unstuck my Mercenary progress. Without an immediate update on Inara, and with the percentages still not displayed in the game the way they used to be (hint hint), it's difficult to give exact figures, but I reckon my latest fight made me at least 10% more Mostly Defenceless.

Also, I still feel it would be more natural to have ranking figures displayed in the On Foot CMDR screen, rather than having to dive into the Codex for them.

Image 2. This is something that is apparent in EDH and EDO it is more for my / and possibly some others personal game benefit, my hearing is no longer as good as it was. The ships voice commands and its interaction with advice, even with my settings on maximum see my audio settings are not always heard clearly its the quieter sounds I struggle with i.e. NPC voices are often drowned out. while it will not be on anyone's list of important to-do's I am sure.
However I find it helps me with the emersion, if some boost from your side of the game may be possible, please pass it on to the devs, we are not all 16 to 30 with top class hearing.

Image 1 shows something else I keep noticing - the number of missions in "all" never equals the total of the other categories.
 
  • Restoration missions will no longer be incompletable when putting out fires.


I picked up a restore mission (with fire it turns out) and tried it.
Sad to report that although the objective does show in the upper-right corner, it is stuck in "Engage the power regulator in the Power Centre Building."
Please see my screenshot where the power centre is clearly online, but the objective is stuck in the initial state.

Hello! Right, I have a little info for you.

So as of Update 5 we tweaked things a little so that you can now only get support missions to settlements owned by the faction, and also only 1 at a time to each settlement.

For a bit of background on this: Support missions were being created by factions who didnt own the settlement, which didn't make any sense to us really. Also the shear abundance of missions of this type were drowning out the potential for others, which felt a bit "spammy".
I'm more than happy to take feedback on this tweak, however!
The issue is that:
- the missions only tend to show up, because of the BGS states which generate offline bases, for non-controlling factions in a system (and often not then)
- those factions own fewer bases in total, in general (and sometimes none at all, which doesn't help)
- those factions are often present in only a single system, so you can only get the missions from the system with the base

The combination of those factors means that the missions are still findable, especially if you know where to look - I've seen several since Patch 5, and in the right system they can still be quite a large chunk of the mission board - but they're considerably rarer in general and many systems have none at all and cannot have any at all no matter how likely they're made to show up in situations where they're somewhat possible.

I don't know what the answer is - good luck!

Well, the answer is make sure the missions ALWAYS spawn if they can.

Then just check the system dav stott talked about where, shutting places down, will make them start shut down next week if done enough times. (And vice versa) then it just is what it is.

If you use the audio option "optimise for", it will reduce the difference between the quietest sound and the loudest sound :
  1. Full range
  2. Normal Range
  3. Boost
  4. NightTime
After that, you just have to lower any sound that you find too loud.

Seems to be a serious bug affecting new CMDRs right now. I know you're all off the clock at the time of posting but @sallymorganmoore can you please get this looked into when you are at work again?

Before update 5, I had a constant 70-75 missions on the missions boards. After Update 5, that number fell to 55-60. Now that number is down to 40-45. If it continues to go down, we'll soon won't have anymore mission. Please return the mission boards as they were before update 5.

Hello everyone, I would like to know if it is normal that the heat Sink Launcher is infinite and reload the ammunition after the Hyper-Jump?

Hi Sally, please don't take this the wrong way, but I find it somewhat concerning the apparent surprise that Megaship Looting is broken, given that is has been for years, has been raised multiple times, and has multiple tickets raised over the years.

It really raises questions to me about what other long standing and well reported issues have been overlooked over the years?

I'm glad to see you taking these issues on, and trying to get something done about them.
