No it isn't, it's a symptom of people with no self control or sense of perspective letting their frustration about a computer game get the better of them.
And where is that frustration coming from?
Frankly, go have a [you'll have to fill in the blank yourself with your stress relief of choice...]
I appreciate that this statement is not directed towards me personally. If it were then I would point out it's an example of the process of frustration we are seeing.

Hey there. Reported comments are reviewed by our Moderators and the option to appeal will always be available. This statement will have no impact on those who share feedback constructively and without abuse.
@Paul_Crowther

I hardly ever use these forums and certainly don't recall receiving any email or otherwise informing me about the change that allow your moderation team to instantly ban individuals whom are deemed by those moderators to cross the snowflake line. Since one would lose access to the forums, how would one go about appealing after such as an incident?

I have bought 2 copies of Odyssey, 1 normal, the other with alpha access.
It doesn't perform as it should, probably worse than the alpha in some ways.
I find that frustrating too, but, strangely enough, found it incredibly easy to state my discontent eloquently and without 'venting' against anyone.

Others chose to express their 'frustration' in a much less civil manner, and some continue to do so regularly... Does that answer your question?

You objectively have not answered why people are frustrated by this developer. All you said was you bought several copies of the game.... and you think this is an argument?
And that the 2 copies do not perform as they should - did you miss that bit?

But, unlike some, I am not baying for vengeance, revenge or the head of one of the developers on a plate...

Do you think I should be raging against the company, screaming like a ban-sidh until the whole world is drowned by my screaming?

I'm grown up now, I can make a point politely - mainly because I learned that politeness will normally get better results than being boorish. OK?

Other people, of course, choose to do everything I elect not to do.

It was a general statement, not directed at anybody specific. I just don't understand people who can't exercise a level of control over their emotions that would be considered appropriate for a normal functioning adult and anybody who feels the need to be hurling abuse at representatives of a computer game company crosses that particular threshold in my opinion. If it was about something important like cancer meds I might have a different opinion. But it isn't.
