I don't think the Frontier comics would be considered canon as they weren't created by or on behalf of Frontier Developments/David Braben/Ian Bell.

I am pretty sure this also falls into that category, but there was also the notorious book by Tony Dillon called Secrets Of Frontier Elite ( ISBN 1-873308-39-6 )

I almost forgot the newspapers Frontier News, Universal Scientist, Imperial Herald, Federal Times and RIG (Random Intergalactic Gossip). They are definitely canon, adding them now.

Thanks in advance. This is the only one I have not read.
Scanning the book will very likely cause damage to the spine. (It's pretty much in pristine condition, having sat in my Elite 2 Frontier box for the last 12 years or so.).

Next possibility is to photograph it. (Quality will be lower, but if I can get a good set up with my camera it should be ok).

Of note, I don't think "Secrets Of Frontier Elite" counts as cannon. It's basically a players guide, and as far as I can see there is no endorsement by Frontier in the book.

Since I have not seen the book yet, I will believe your judgement. Removing the "Secrets Of Frontier Elite".

Be careful! There are sites out there that list these articles but also contain some additional elements of Fan Fiction.

I know - we found whilst researching the newspapers that there's a site that lists all of the newspaper articles for easy reference but has thrown a lot of fan fiction in there too.

If you're literally using the game itself as your reference then you shouldn't have a problem, therefore ignore me. :)

Actually, now that I've looked into it, the problem was with an online version of the FFE manual, not the journals. Got my email threads mixed up.

I don't know the URL for the online manual, before you ask.

Apologies for the mix-up.
