Frontier have multiple IPs of which ED is no longer the best performing.
They will probably have the common sense to drop ED in whatever time frame is deemed adequate following the release of Odyssey.
Their other titles will keep them earning and the investors & shareholders happy enough. And they finally get to drop the dead donkey

What metric did you base this probability on? Have you information we don't have?
If we go by your probability, then there is no further need for Horizon or Odyssey updates as in your words, they'll 'drop ED' as an IP pretty soon.
Well folks there you have it. After the updates, ED is being dropped.

The issue isn't simply one of money (although that has a knock-on effect) but rather lost reputation & consumer confidence. That's what they need to "save".
I mean, I've bought every game FDev have ever made. That won't happen again... my wallet is firmly shut to them now. Shame, because I like F1, dinosaurs and Warhammer, but, oh well.

SC sells ship interriors for 50-350$ - So Ship Interiros sell. They can cash in on that in the same way.
30 Ships x 2$ to 10$ pr Ship Interior DLC depending on the ship size. It will be more profitable than Odyssey.

I just had three columns- assault, murder and fines, followed by a lot of marks.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think it is ever wrong to recommend other fun games in general. I just wanted to point out that I am fine with HG making a game that may not be completely up my alley.
Oh yeah, it's almost got a Dead Space vibe to it. Makes me curious about infiltrating thargoid bases...Absolutely - no game is for everyone, and NMS is particularly marmite for many people. It's a game I always recommend people play it though, especially if you can pick it up on a Steam sale. I was simply pointing out that he's not experienced a whole raft of new experiences and content that has been added since he last played. There's an enormous amount of gameplay variety in NMS these days. Something might tickle his fancy.
Personally, I like the sci-horror pastiche of exploring derelict freighters added in (I think) the Desolation update. Really atmospheric, especially in VR.

That sounds very logical. Do you keep all the A4? I can imagine carefully labelled filing cabinets at Mr Meats office in kumoburger HQ full of your murderous endeavours.
I keep tally of credits and occasionally a description of what I'm up to when working on TDW stuff. I used to keep tally of rank % for whatever I was working on but odyssey has removed the % marker so its ruined my records - of all the stuff that's wrong with odyssey, ruining my record keeping is unforgivable.
