Similar but with interesting differences!

I'm itching to get going on the new PC but I've no idea how long I'll need to wait...
From Novatech :
Intel® Core™ i9-11900K
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB
32GB RGB DDR4
WD_BLACK SN850 500GB NVMe
Western Digital SN550 2TB SSD

Ordered on Wednesday morning, collected Wednesday afternoon. (prebuilt model)
Odyssey 100-120fps @ 3840x1600 everywhere (3 times the speed of my previous 1080ti)
(But very expensive)

Edit: I was a bit optimistic about the fps. 80-100 in the station concourse, 50-60 in a settlement conflict zone.

Look how pretty the case is. I thought about Ryzen 7 but i only stay at 1080 most of the time. 20 odd days for build though

I thought Novatech went under - I’ll go look

Btw I recently got a 5800x build. I had no problems finding 8gb dimms. Running 16Gb @4000Mhz so a nice little bump if ever needed.

Fast 8GiB DIMMs are everywhere. Fast 8GiB dual-rank DIMMs are very rare.

Also, be wary of higher memory speeds on AM4, if you aren't comfortable with manually configuring everything. 4000MT/s memory on a Ryzen 5000 series part is often difficult to achieve with a 1:1:1 FCLK:UCLK:MCLK ratio and using any other ratio will generally hurt performance more than dropping down to the highest stable 1:1:1 ratio possible. Using XMP to achieve memory speeds over 3600-3800MT/s will almost certainly result in a less than ideal ratio.

Lord, that's sad... A RTX 3080ti and you get 50-60 in a settlement.

PC won't arrive until first week of Sept. Seems ages away :D but I suppose that's just how it is at the moment.
I didn't see anything about what monitor you're using, or maybe I just missed it.

I'm running a "similar" setup

Asus TUF X570 PLUS

Ryzen 7 3700X @ 3.7GHz

16GB 3200 RAM

NVMe SSD

ROG STRIX RTX 2060 w/minor overclocking - +10% CPUv, +100 MHz core, +200 MHz MEM, Fan at 100% w/temp in the high 50s C)

Win 10 Pro 64-bit

Odyssey runs OK (@ 2K with Ultra settings, AMDFX CAS and 0.75 SS I get 45-60 fps in concourse after patch 5, less in settlements) and I rarely hit 8GB of usage on the PC even with Firefox (w/multilpe windows and hundreds of tabs), Discord and Windows Your Phone all running.

All that said, I'm running ED on an HP Omen 27i 165Hz Certified "GSYNC Compatible" monitor at native 2K and it looks good. I do get occasional minor stuttering for no apparent reason even at decent frame rates, but I think that's just the game and not anything to do with the hardware.

I ordered these parts from NewEgg back in December 2020 and they arrived in early January.

So far I'm really happy with this build.

ED is the only game I play, so nothing to compare to.

I'm more interested in how quick it was between order and collect!

Between order and collection, about 2 hours. And because I live about an hour away, it took one hour for Novatech to process the order and get the PC ready for collection. As the PC was pre-built I guess all they did was lift the PC off the shelf and put it on a trolley.

As per their website it was the last one in stock. But I noticed a couple of days later that they had more of the same in stock, presumably built from their existing stock parts.
