State of the Game

I don't know either, but I'm going to play it safe here and say you should feel really, really bad about it.

I have no idea why, but I've learned from today's society that if you don't feel bad about something, then you're doing life wrong and should probably be canceled.
TBH I didn't feel neither good nor bad about this, therefore my question.
But after your explanation, I feel GOOD about the fact that I did NOT felt BAD about this, as I should.

Everything seems to be perfect again, thanks!

I aim to please. Any day when I've NOT been proclaimed to be the child of Shaitan, some Austrian Guy, and about sixteen hundred other abominations by some random person on the internet is a day I've failed to be a human being, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah. I just didn't know that you had to ride a bicycle to discover it. Then again, I wasn't exactly a pioneer in the field :)
He probably discovered it a few hours before he took some of it and then jumped on his bike to drive home, but the legends tell us that he discovered the effect while he was riding his bike

Welp. That sort of ruins my plans of dusting off that ancient bike of mine that's been rusting in the garage for decades. Bummer.

That would be very problematic, I think, in that state he was certainly no longer able to walk home
Why not?
He probably would get home listen to some music and then go to bed to get his deserved 12h of sleep after such long trip walk.

Of course in the morning it would turn out it was a home of some random, temporary absent person he never met before and his key by some insane improbably accident was fitting.
This is how bicycling works quite often,
a friend told me.

It's how most of my nights when I was a teenager turned out too. Minus the keys accidentally fitting, that is. I just never quite recognized the bedroom I woke up in.
