What exactly does faster handling do?

It improves your ADS (Aim-Down-Sights) functionality - so when you aim, you're chance of hitting increases.

In addition
(I've not tested it so don't quote me on it), allegedly improves the ability to draw/sheath the weapon.

Mix that with a long-range rifle like the Executioner with Scope, and you get really, really great hit ratios.

To be clear: just because you aim down your sights and the target is dead-center, doesn't mean you'll hit them - this increases that chance. Like I said, great for long range weapons (and short ranged ones, too!)

OK so its like Greater Accuracy mod but for when you are using the scope as opposed to hip fire?

I find with stabilty, my AR-50 using the scope is pretty much hitting every shot at the same point on full auto. This mod wouldnt do much positive then?

If you need to swap weapons because you are using a laser/project combo, this mod is pretty sweet.
But to be different, I put it on the ONLY WORKING SHOTGUN (OF 3!!!) I have left (together with stability, reload speed and moar ammo) and even like it there. It becomes a very nimble weapon.

Yes - that hip-fire accuracy increases hit chance with no sight-aiming, faster handling improves ADS.

I cannot say for more short ranged weapons - though if you're hitting with ADS with high accuracy, it might not be the mod for you - however, since I've only applied it to an Executioner, perhaps others could answer this question.

I think that with Higher Accuracy and Stability, that's all you need for 'close' combat weapons - though please be sure to confirm that with some of the veterans here. I'm more of a sneaky ****, hit 'n run tactics.

Personally, I cannot see many shorter ranged weapons requiring ADS functionality.

Not true - 'quick draw' can be effective (see @Vandaahl post, previous)

What happend to the other 2 shotguns?

Is stability useful on shotguns? (my only shotgun had it pre-packed). I thought the fire delay of the shotgun was enough for the sights to normalise before the next shot without needing stability?

Hmm, maybe when I have spare mats I try it on the Oppressor (which otherwise misses most of the shots but that could be because of sloooow purple balls and my lousy aim).

The Ar-50 definitely does not feel like it needs more accurate ADS, like I said, if the target doesnt move, the entire burst nails him when using the scope.

edit: Wait, I just watched a youtube video and the mod seems to allow you to move from hip fire mod to ADS mode faster.

Can't ADS with them, and cannot change livery without a black adder trip back to the main menu.

Yeah, stability almost totally removes the mule kick after firing it, so you are pretty much ready for the next shot. The more ammo mod is a life saver. So many times have I been thankful for that extra 1 shot (the receiving end disagreed heavily).

The fact that the graphic shows 2 bits of ammo thingys being reloaded while the extra mag mod gives you 3 shots sets my OCD meter into the red!!!!

Sorry to be contradictory but it doesn't improve accuracy. It speeds up stowing, equipping, ads on and ads off animations. The difference between using this mod and not is pretty big. When aiming with the Executioner, if you fire immediately the shot will go off centre. With this mod, you can aim and fire super fast and it'll be on target.

It's an awesome mod. But it doesn't improve accuracy. It just lets you literally handle it faster.

This.

It just makes your actions with the weapon quicker (other than reload I presume). With current frame rates, it makes no practical difference to the SMGs, although I can see the difference when away from a settlement, but on something slower like the Executioner I can see a distinct advantage.

I stand corrected. "... and Improving ADS functionality" I thought to mean it made me better at the variation off-centre when shooting - like with hip sway 'randomness'. However, it must have been placebo - or I actually got better at aiming! Original answer modified so as not to confuse others.

I get the impression that the descriptions for the modifications are well written for FPS players - judging by the fact I've seen a number (myself including) ask questions here what it actually means.

However, I don't think there's any way around that - if you could play E: D without googling or asking forums for advice, it wouldn't be the game it was...

I wish I knew what that meant...

What does it mean? The 'damage/bloom' doesn't have any meaning to me (I know what they mean, not in this context...)

It’s a Call of Duty thing where tapping the scope button auto aligns you to the target player. If you tap a fraction of a second before you squeeze the trigger you get a perfect shot every time. This lead to people running around with sniper rifles at SMG ranges.

The faster handling doesn’t work anything like that.

The penalties is damage reduction and aim bloom when hip firing for example. Bloom is when you fire and the shots go all over the place. You aim down sight and get listed damage and better accuracy. If you can do it faster you can quickscope - i.e. place reticle over target without aiming and before firing do a quick activation o the aim function and press trigger immediately.

Which CoD would that be? I've played CoDs on both PC and Playstation and the controller auto-aim never really was that powerful.
