Once the power was back I restarted the launcher and it seemed like it carried on from where it left off, so I just let it carry on. I've just checked and the "Sync files" process is still running. But it says <1m left!
I fully expect a second power cut any moment.
The original corruption wouldn't even let me verify files, the launcher was borked no matter what I did, "purchase" was the only option, basically the files were messed up by the crash I had earlier today. Pretty sure it's my ssd which has utterly corrupted itself once before.
Or it was windows. I hate windows.
