For only 4 species i agree, thats a very good collection. Personally i hope if we get flying they will add atleast 6 flying animals, the eurasian eagle owl and the flying foxes would be great picks to round it out and also to add two asian and one european animal
If we do get flying animals then it should be in an update so that we can get more than 4 flying animals
Great pack for selection. Bald Eagle, Toucan and some kind of Macaw are absolute musts. I'm thinking on that fourth one though, either a Pelican or another water-oriented bird, or one of those long-legged wading types of birds like storks or cranes, for visual variety.
@Doran I also hope that if/when they do an aviary pack they go a different format. both 5 species and 8 species of birds would be a disappointing amount if that's all we got. Absolute minimum of 12 and I'd be completely fine if it was 20. I know there's so many birds out there, but 20 would at least begin to cover most of the basics.

I think 20 different kinds of birds would be perfect
I agree there should be in an update and players have built there own aviaries hoping for birds and I’m really hoping for birds fingers crossed
that we get some birds sometime this year.

How do you know?
Because:
1. We dont know if birds wil be like standard animals. Most likely they will be something between habitat and exhibit, so bigger number is logical. Fully animated, but can only be put in aviary and nowhere else.
2. We know frontier can pull 15$ dlc (ghostbusters)
3. They wont suddenly change animal and standard dlc format to include birds in them in future.
4. Birds in overall have similar body structure, because it is most suitable build for flying. They will reuse animations for most birds.

If there were 5 fliers, I'd actually shift things around a bit.
The Toucan is probably a better thing there for it without the Macaws matched with it, perhaps pick a Macaw species as "bonus" animal given out with the associated update, giving people the option. Filling the normal Macaw slot for the 4+1 exhibit could be something very different and going with a fruit bat (The Goldencrowned Flying Fox would be the preference there).
Then go with a rarer songbird as an exhibit animal. Love Birds or the bird of paradise would be interesting there
