Tansportation options for staff

So staff aren't thought of when we're talking transportation but in many irl zoos, it's used to carry heavy stuff and to make getting around the zoo easier

Flatbed trucks: In San Diego Zoo Safari Park, these are used to attend to the field exhibits

Golf carts: These are a dominant feature in any zoo.

Since JW:E has rangers, it can't be that hard to get them in game

Seriously I cannot understand why you have this perception. They're two entirely separate games.

Anyway, I like the idea of golf carts, they're small and unintrusive, but I do wonder if it's ultimately pointless aside from as an aesthetic choice. If you place staff rooms around well enough and have good work zones then your staff will never stray too far from where they need to be anyway.

I am so sorely missing staff vehicles! I like building parks as realistically as I can, but without staff vehicles I have to place Keeper Huts near almost every exhibit, which is completely realistic (usually there's one big backstage area in a zoo).
Sort of…. Usually there will be hubs where feed is prepared for nearby species - only very small zoos would have one central food preparation area for everything.

Yes, but the ingame zookeepers don't deal well with large distances real life zookeepers do. IMO realistic savannah habitats would require tractors for zookeepers, andvgolf carts for arriving at habitats a bit further away from the staff center.

This is still nice to have for me, not at all a priority.

I agree - I was only responding to the statement that having multiple keepers huts scattered across the zoo is unrealistic, when it’s not. In terms of the broader question of staff vehicles, my feeling is that the amount of effort required to implement it would be faaaaaaar too much for the minor benefit. There are lots of much, much more important areas I’d like them to concentrate resources in before worrying about functional staff vehicles.

Yeah, in my experience with large zoos "keeper huts" are spread into "sections". These sections often don't reflect what the guests see as actual sections/themed areas. For example there might be a keeper station for all carnivores, with a head carnivore keeper who manages that area and those species. Likewise for primates, ungulates, etc. The hub would be located nearest to where there are more of these animals grouped together than anywhere else (so in a lot of zoos their unglate hub would be nearest the African animals).

Some key species, or specialised species, would have their own hub (elephants, giant pandas, hippos, etc.).

Unfortunately, Planet Zoo isn't really set up for some of the more involved keeper setups that several zoos are moving towards...which kind of follows the Disney model of building large chunks of the backstage underground where they can in order to save space and keep as much out of sight as possible. It also allows raised viewing areas for large amounts of the zoo which works well.

Pretty sure the Disney method of having everything underground is prohibitively expensive for most zoos. Disney can do it because they're made of money.
It's not really that expensive to do, it's something that they pioneered, but one that a lot of places have started using since their utility corridors were created, a lot of zoos with limited expansion space tend add them in whenever they can no due to the lack of space to normally expand. It lets them reuse a lot of places that used to be backstage as more general space for exhibits or other things they can put guest side.

I personally think the mechanic requires a vehicle....man that guy gets really busy lol. What would be nice is the golf cart...I think they call them a gator?

I honestly don't think the navigation system for staff vehicles has to be as complicated as one would think; it could just be taking whatever path the staff member would have taken by foot, just moving faster. There are of course many other game mechanics that would have to be sorted out, but I think that's the most complicated one.
