took the vulture to planet's CZ, 5 min fly, while there got killed, back to the vulture, but it went back to the orbital instead of respawning, 10min wasted just flying.. is this is the way ODY suppose to work?

So I am doing the ground CZ but I have a question: Is there a way to stay deployed after your side has won or lost?

The dropship ride back to station is quite a time waster.

Fly there with a ship, land short, join in, then just relog. If you die when you've joined in like that, you'll still auto redeploy, but you won't automatically board a ship back to the station

As @GraphiteGB says: destroy the heat sinks.

If you have a ship with decent shields you can just tank all the fire and take each one out in turn. Easy peasy.

Otherwise just do a couple and come back. Capital ship lasers are a bit of a joke.

I've joined this fight (against the feds, like most players) for a bit of immersion, as it certainly doesn't seem to pay much, compared to other CGs, or MM stacking. I haven't checked to see how it's affecting my federal rank, but probably nothing I can't get back quickly, as if it even matters.

With the other CGs, a solid hour's work would usually put me in the top 50, but I'm still on the lowest rank, which is probably a testament to how much people like fighting. Oh, well, tier 2 probably reached by now.
