State of the Game

I swear the game have learned how to troll. I got a nice view like this :

Sandy desert one side, mountains the others, and it's very nice.
And then when I start to actually enjoy it :

I get a freaking giant railtrack in the middle of it cutting it in half.
Ooooo giant carterpillar tracked mining machines confirmed........ Maybe you should have followed it to its end ;)
(Seriously, how cool a find it would be if it was meant to be there and there was something at the end to discover)

One of which is proper Deutsch Weizen in a tall glass. Tis the only beer I've ever had to take bites out of in order to drink it.
there are so many varieties of Weizen - I like the dark Hefeweizen - where the yeast is still in the beer.

just for those wondering - in bavaria a Weizen is called Weissbier.

And just a warning - never down it in one go - it will come right back up again - too much CO2 in it.

Wait, one can get Weizen sans yeast? Simply blasphemous!

Unfortunately the brand above is the only one I can typically find in the US. Not that there is anything wrong with that particular brand (its quite good), just that variety is nice and the US made Weizen is not, um, the same authentic.

Funny actually, that our local grocer carries that brand. And they're about 20 miles outside of "civilization", which is about 10 miles closer than we are. Too bad they're closed atm due to covid breakout.

On the other hand, I've only had 3 drinks so far this year.

That is why i chose that picture, there is a good chance to get it outside of Europe as well. The really special bavarian beers are often quite regional and can often just be bought in the region where they are brewed. Often those are smaller micro-breweries with very special beers, but quite unknown outside their region.

Similar here as well, with the exception that the recent IPA craze simply results in more rubbish that people try to pass off as beer and is really only useful for cleaning toilets. IMnsHO.

There was some game where in the end I was supposed to copy myself to some clone or AI to leave some cursed planet.
And it worked out, only I was experiencing the finale from the perspective of the source copy...
I loved this plot twist.

Was is some part of Dead Space? I can't remember.
@Just Did you ever work out what that game was? It sounds very interesting, and wouldn't mind playing it!!

(Does sound very reminiscent of Observer though...)

our state government wanted us to go on vacation in our own state - tasmania - to support the suffering tourist industry. We made a tour visiting most of the smaller breweries here, incredible how many there actually are and we discovered some good australian beer as well - but it is as well often extremely regional or even local - like in the brewery's own pub only. Then I'm still on my quest to test all the 104 varieties of tasmanian gin - will take a while. And there are even a few whiskey distilleries in Tassie. So vacation in our own state makes a lot of sense (y)

And since most of the circulating cholesterol is manufactured by the liver and genetically controlled, it's not surprising that the scientific literature on dietary cholesterol as a risk factor has failed to show up major findings.
I used to have great fun explaining to dietary cholestephobes that "this isn't how the alimentary tract works. Not even slightly."

Then again, at around the same time, I actually ran across one of those "supplement" stores I so love to mock selling "hemoglobin tablets" to help with anemia. I thought I was going to die laughing :ROFLMAO:
