I bought elite dangerous trough epic horizon trough epic games. Today i bought a steam key for odyssey dlc, how can i activate this, because on the frontier store site i can't redeem steam code it says?

You can activate Steam keys using Steam.
You can't. Epic is one company, Steam another. You'll need to activate the Steam key at Steam - which won't help you much, as you don't have (or at least didn't write that) the base game (Elite Dangerous) on Steam.
but you can link your steam to frontier acc, so can't i link my epic to my frontier and do it that way?
I think you're gonne get a lot of different replies here. I would suggest contacting Frontier Support. They usually (at least before Odyssey, don't know how it goes now) respond pritty fast.

i tried to link them, didn't work, so i tried buying it on the frontier store itself but it says that i don't heve the base game. But it's in my epic library and I can play it?
I think you'll need the base game from steam to match up your Odyssey downlkoad, ask FD, they may help. Annoyingly the base game isnt on sale anywhere at the mo. Its often dirt cheap, why not have two commanders, dont have to both be Odyssey, its fun to have one in one area doing a certain job and another way over there doing something different.
If it doesn't work just mail Frontier Support. They can help you out.
only thing you can do is refund on steam and repurchase via epic.
iirc with steam (and epic) you get around 14 days to request a refund or if youve played the base game (on steam) for less than 2 hours since purchasing the DLC
